Italian Award for Altecnic
Plumbing equipment specialist Altecnic received a long association award from thermostatic control manufacturer IMIT recently, celebrating 20 years of the businesses working together. The award was presented during a celebration of IMIT’s 90th anniversary which brought together all of their 400+ staff and key business partners from around Europe at a special dinner at a venue on the shores of Italy’s Lake Maggiore, close to the company’s headquarters.
Stuart Gizzi, MD of Staffordshire based Altecnic said “We are pleased to be recognised by IMIT for the part we have played in developing their presence in the UK and Ireland. IMIT have always been very supportive of us, especially in our early days and working together over the years we have developed and refined a product range that is ideal for our market which has subtle differences to the rest of Europe. This is the business equivalent of a long service award, and we were delighted to receive our award alongside IMIT staff who had served 30 and 35 years.”
Accurate thermostatic control for heating systems can help to minimise energy consumption, which is part of Altenic’s ongoing drive for environmental improvement. Their own business was the first in Staffordshire and the first in their industry to be awarded CarbonNeutral status earlier this year which combines energy saving techniques and a carbon offset programme to deliver an overall zero carbon footprint.
