Aston Business School Announces Collaboration
05/12/06
Executive Education from Aston Business School has been made even more accessible, with the announcement of a partnership between the school and Reed Learning, a commercial training provider who will deliver tailored elements of the school's programmes.
The partnership was finalised last week after nearly two years exploration by Dr Michael Grojean from Aston Business School and his Executive Education Team who were intent on a link-up with a training provider with the same hard working ethos and who could offer a tangible benefit to students.
Dr Grojean said “The decision for anyone to embark on executive education should be a natural evolution, but with work, home and other time commitments it’s always a big lifestyle decision. It’s not the easy option, but we endeavour to make it as accessible as possible. The key is to deliver flexibility without undermining quality, which is why we sought out a commercial strategic partner who has a comparable culture. This arrangement is a first for both parties; we have both been keen to form a synergetic alliance in each other’s sector for some time now.”
For Reed Learning, the new series of programmes will add the research and pure academic resource that Aston Business School has built its reputation on, as well as the accreditation of learning modules towards an MBA. For the School, involving a London based commercial partner provides a strategic resource as well as an extra dimension for students who will benefit from local face-to-face learning.
Hugh Greenway, Managing Director of Reed Learning added "This unique partnership gives our clients access to expert training in the real necessities of the managerial role, including finance, marketing and strategy. By enrolling on this programme, students will acquire practical skills to take back to their workplace immediately, as well as gaining a diploma in management and the opportunity to put the programme towards a full MBA from one of the best business schools in the country. All our research indicates the return on investment organisations will receive by enrolling their current and aspiring managers on to this programme will be extensive, mainly through increased productivity and staff retention.”
The new programmes will begin early in the New Year.
