NEW COURSE GIVES EUROPEAN EDGE TO ASTON BUSINESS SCHOOL
A top British Business School has joined forces with universities in France and Germany to offer a pioneering new course.
Students are given the chance to live and work abroad as well as at the Birmingham-based university, in a bid to further improve their employability.
The European Masters in Management (EMM) is the first course of its kind and other universities are now tracking its progress with a view to following suit.
Students spend time at two out of the three institutions, which also include EM-Lyon and LMU Munich.[1]
They also enjoy a six month work placement in one of the three countries which reduces barriers of language, work and social culture and differing business practices.
The first year of the course features core management skills and in the second year, students choose a specialism. Aston offers world-renowned expertise in marketing, while Lyon specialises in finance and Munich leads on organisation and changing strategy.
Professor Michael West, Executive Dean of Aston Business School, said: “Aston Business School is really keen to build partnerships and we have long standing relationships with both the Lyon and Munich business schools.
“This pioneering project is about pooling the resources and skills of three excellent education institutions to give students a great platform towards their chosen career.”
