NEW DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS FOR ASTON BUSINESS SCHOOL EXECUTIVE EDUCATION
Aston Business School (ABS) has announced the recent appointment of Jonathan Harvey as Director of Operations for Executive Education. Jonathan will be supporting ABS’s strategic initiatives and working closely with the Executive Education team and client organisations to design and develop programmes for businesses and individuals locally, nationally and worldwide.
“I am delighted to be joining Executive Education at what is an exciting time in its evolution. I am really looking forward to contributing to the development of a range of programmes geared to be of benefit both for delegates and the organisations they work with. We will continue to utilise our scientific approach to business at the same time as exploiting the world class wealth of research expertise here in the School,” commented Jonathan.
Jonathan comes to Executive Education from the Defence Leadership and Management Centre at the Ministry of Defence, which develops Executive Education programmes for the top 500 military and civilian individuals within the MOD. This has included the Defence Strategic Leadership Programme which has gained international reputation with subsequent programmes being run for NATO and the Republic of South Africa with Jonathan at the forefront of delivery for these inaugural programmes. Jonathan has also served as the interface between the Military and the Academic community on research themes associated with leadership and executive development.
Following the completion of his Masters Degree in Occupational Psychology at Queen’s University, Belfast, Jonathan went on to work in a university collaboration which resulted in the Queens Award for Excellence in research and working with the Northern Ireland Prison Service following the Good Friday Agreement.
