The Garden Escape visits Grand Designs Live

The Garden Escape creates luxury garden rooms – versatile spaces that are becoming increasingly popular amongst style and lifestyle conscious professionals. They are being used as office, exercise or recreation spaces in gardens right across the UK. There are as many styles as there are potential uses and there are Garden Escapes in some pretty spectacular locations where people are enjoying the benefits of having extra space available for whatever purpose, literally right on their doorstep.

Interviewed recently by the BBC TV from a Garden Escape, style aficionado Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen was asked what he thought of the buildings…
“As a nation of gardeners – it’s as if we’re trying to squeeze every last little drop of square “incheage” from our property; suddenly we’re creating these [outdoor rooms] and I think it just shows quite how literate we’re becoming as a nation of designers and also quite how independent we’re really thinking…”
He gave the impression of liking Garden Escapes.
Husband and wife team Richard and Kath Harvey, had the idea to create garden spaces when they struggled to find a solution to meet their own space requirements. Richard explains: “We were unable to find anything contemporary with the quality and flexibility we needed so we created our own. Our designs are built to the highest standards and will feel like an additional room in your garden.”
