ESCAPE THE RAT RACE & SAVE THE PLANET IN CELEBRITY STYLE!

Visitors could be inspired to escape the rat race and work from home after a visit to the Garden Escape at the BBC Good Homes Live It! show. The Garden Escape is the company that creates high quality garden rooms for work, relaxation or play and they are set to showcase some ‘green’ innovations for eco-friendly home owners in spectacular style at the NEC-based show this May.
The company will exhibit three of its garden room designs in a revolutionary themed area, styled to reflect a variety of uses for high quality extra room in the garden. The Garden Escape also has an exciting and dramatic new spherical garden room in development which it plans to unveil later this year.
Managing Director, Richard Harvey, explains, “What better way to help save the earth than by cutting out your commute to work? Reducing emissions while working in the peaceful surroundings of your own garden sounds idyllic but it is easily and comfortably achievable with a Garden Escape. There are a variety of standard designs that can be adapted to suit individual needs, or we can create something completely bespoke to fit unusual spaces, sizes or locations. Our buildings are being used in gardens right across the UK mainly as offices or gyms, but there are also meditation suites and therapy rooms as well as my particular favourite which has a very impressive Scalextric layout.”
For interior design inspiration at the show, all three rooms will be styled by a celebrity. TV’s Melissa Porter and Tommy Walsh along with Heart FM DJ, Dave Clarke, have accepted the challenge of designing their ideal ‘Garden Escape’ and will be on hand to offer design tips and show off their designs.
Richard is looking forward to the show, “The BBC Good Homes Live It! show will give us another opportunity to showcase our high quality designs to home owners and hopefully inspire them to take a look at giving themselves more space for quality time at home. We are delighted to have the support of Melissa, Tommy and Dave in styling the rooms, we can’t wait to see how they turn out; we may end up adding a new design style to our portfolio!”
Husband and wife team Richard and Kath Harvey, had the idea to create garden spaces when they struggled to find a solution to meet their own space requirements. Richard explains: “We were unable to find anything contemporary with the quality and flexibility we needed so we created our own. Our designs are built to the highest standards and will feel like an additional room in your garden.”
