GREENHOUS UNVEILS £250,000 WEST MIDLANDS SERVICE CENTRE
A successful Black Country business is set to unveil a £250,000 investment to improve its customer care.
Greenhous Willenhall will open the doors of the brand new building on their existing site in Neachells Lane, Wolverhampton.
The workshop will customise trucks and vans to the customer’s exact requirements before they are driven away for the first time - like adding tracker units, wing deflectors, fire extinguishers, sound systems or other individually tailored extras.
It was a necessary expansion due to the continued success of DAF trucks and the popularity of the locally made LDV Maxus van.
Owing to this increased demand, Greenhous are currently looking to add two new members of staff to their existing workforce of 36 technicians.
The new facility is expected to process more than 1,000 vehicles in 2008.
It will provide for all the needs of truck and van drivers the West Midlands who purchase new vehicles from Greenhous.
It will also double up as a service and repair centre for existing truck and van drivers, which will free up extra space in the main workshop.
The 5,000 square feet workshop has taken six months to build and will be unveiled at the end of the month. (October)
It will be open 24 hours a day throughout the week, starting 6.30am on Mondays and ending on Saturdays at 1pm.
The team will be led by Service Director Wayne Fletcher, who has been with Greenhous since 1989.
He said: “We have had to expand because of the volume of business we are facing and this new facility is a very significant investment.
“The extra service bays will compliment our existing facilities at the Neachells Lane site so we can offer even better customer care.”
