Valentine’s Day proposals save money at Perry Barr Stadium

Cupid’s arrow may be fired at Birmingham’s Perry Barr Greyhound Stadium this Valentines Day.
Anyone who proposes to their loved one on February 14 can get a half price stag or hen night at the track.
The stadium can cater for individual proposal requests to make Thursday night extra special - such as on the track, on camera over the television screens or by announcement over the public address system.
And who knows, lady luck may be around all night with some winning bets along the way.
Carol Chown-Smith, General Manager at Perry Barr Greyhound Stadium, said it was a great way for people to surprise their partners.
“We all love to see a bold, romantic gesture now and then, so why not propose in front of hundreds of people to the one you love?
“It is also true that weddings can be very expensive, so by offering people a half price stag or hen night they can save a few pounds too.”
