Inta has a hand in CAPT anti-scald campaign
06/12/07
National charity the Child Accident Prevention Trust has approved the use of its quality mark on the packaging of anti-scald products made by thermostatic valve specialist Inta.
Inta has supported the charity in the production of a burns and scalds leaflet in the past, and is now taking its involvement a stage further.
In an effort to raise the profile of the charity at the same time as emphasising the anti-scald qualities of Inta’s thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) products, all of the company’s anti-scald packaging will carry CAPT’s mark, to signify Inta’s support for the charity’s work.
Commenting on the commercial participation agreement, which will see a significant investment from the manufacturer, Commercial Director Cynthia Fisher said “Bath time scalding for children is a serious problem which anti-scald products and some common sense precautions can easily prevent. We’re pleased to be working with CAPT again and hope that our combined efforts will make some real impact on the number of avoidable scalds that our children suffer every year.”
Katrina Philips, CAPT’s Chief Executive said “I am certain that both organisations will realise the benefits of this partnership to deliver a safety message and work towards the introduction of legislation to make the use of anti-scald equipment compulsory in all new-build and bathroom refurbishment projects across England and Wales.”
The sight of the logo, a blue hand, on packaging should not only reinforce the anti-scald message, but also give merchants and fitters an extra opportunity to promote anti-scald products to their customers.
