Anti-Scald Performance from a 14 litre Stunner
24/11/05
Shower valves are all about successfully combining style with performance. What sets the exceptional valves apart from the rest is how they perform at low pressure and that’s just what the Intaflo range from Inta has been designed to do, with an astonishing 14 litres per minute flow at only 0.1 bar, right up to 35 litres per minute at 1.0 bar. All with a temperature stability of + or – 2 degrees.
The valves, which look terrific in their contemporary ‘minimalist’ style or beautifully futuristic in the ‘modern’ style are both available as surface or concealed mount and comply with TMV3, the highest standard for anti-scald valves, making them ideal for care environments and leisure facilities. For those whose tastes are a little more conservative, there’s also a traditional style.
To add to the choices, each Intaflo model is available as dual or sequential control and is complemented by a selection of appropriately styled shower kits all designed to deliver huge quantities of safe hot water.
Regulations are due in Scotland by April 06, governing the temperature of hot water to safe levels, which means that from next spring, fitting an accredited thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) will be essential in all new bathroom and washroom installations and refurbishments.
Intatec Commercial Director Cynthia Fisher said “In the rest of the UK, anti-scald regulations aren’t expected to come into force until 2007, but with the safety message growing right across the country, there’s demand and margin in being ahead of the game. It makes sense for installers and specifiers to start fitting anti-scald valves right now.”
The Intaflo is part of a complete range of anti-scald products from Inta, which includes shower valves, thermostatic mixing valves and a whole host of products that will keep bath, shower and wash rooms regulation compliant and safe.
Part of the regulations will include a provision for regular maintenance, which has been made as easy as can be with replaceable cartridge technology right across the range.
Technical aspects of thermostatic control aren’t difficult, but for the first time installer or specifier, Inta has a dedicated technical team who have provided up to the minute advice and information on line at www.intaco.co.uk or on the telephone, 01889 207200.
