TMV 1st for Intatec
Thermostatic shower and valve manufacturer Intatec have announced an industry
first – their Intaflo valves are the first complete shower range to receive
accreditation for both TMV2, the domestic installation standard and TMV3,
the high risk standard from the Thermostatic Valve Manufacturers Association,
the body responsible for standards and testing. Their Intamix Pro, a concealed
valve that regulates water temperature for a whole bathroom or washroom
has also achieved accreditation to both standards.
Intatec Managing Director Stuart Gizzi said “The Inta range has been developed with new regulations and standards in mind, so naturally, we are delighted that we are the first company in the UK to have their whole shower valve range accredited to both standards. Because thermostatic control is relatively new to the UK, we are finding that the technical support we provide to specifiers, stockists and installers is being particularly well received. And as we move closer to the building regulation changes in 2006, that govern thermostatic control of hot water in bathrooms, TMV accreditation for us and technical expertise for the trade will become essential.”
Technically accomplished and designed to operate on all hot water systems, either high or low pressure, Intaflo is stylish, anti-scald, easy to maintain and offers high flow rates. There are three very distinctive looks to choose from, Modern, Minimalistic and Traditional, all available either as a surface mounted valve or as a concealed fitting. Each style also has a choice of matching shower head kits, fixed or flexible to complete a look that can blend in discretely or be focal point in the bathroom.
The Inta product line up also includes Intaduo, a TMV2 bath / shower mixer that easily replaces existing taps to provide a controlled temperature for both bath fill and showering.
