Bath time can be made safer with an anti-scald mixing valve, a device that blends together hot and cold water, to fill a bath to just the right temperature. The valves, which can be fitted out of sight behind a bath panel, or as part of a new tap are a safety feature designed to reduce the 20 deaths and 570 serious injuries caused by bath time scalding each year.
