DRIVING FORWARD THE CAMPAIGN FOR EDWARD
T C Harrison has linked up with Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service to raise money for a very special little boy.
Seven year old Edward Bright from Ripley suffered the loss of part of his limbs when he contracted Meningitis earlier this year and money is being raised to help Edward.
T C Harrison which is based at Pride Park in Derby and Horninglow Street in Burton On Trent, are donating a 2007 Ford Ka as the star raffle prize at the Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service's Open Day on Saturday July 7th. The Open Day which will be held at the Old Hall, Burton Road in Littleover, promises to be fun for all the family and includes brass bands, demonstrations by the fire service, bouncy castles, face painting, a Hog Roast and of course the raffle draw.
"We are delighted to be linked with such a great cause and hope that the raffle will raise a lot of money," commented Neil Baker, Regional Director for TC Harrison. "Edward is such a brave little boy; he is an inspiration to us all!"
Assistant Chief Fire Officer Sean Frayne said: "We were delighted to hear of T C Harrison's generous offer of the Ford Ka. The fire and rescue service prides itself on being part of the Derbyshire community and it is pleasing when we can work closely with local businesses to the benefit of those we both serve. We as an organisation have committed to support the Edward Bright Appeal and help raise money for him and his family. No one could help but be touched by his bravery and it is splendid that both the public and private sectors are coming together to enable Edward's family to make use of all that the medical profession can do to assist Edward in the future."
Tickets for the raffle can be bought from the Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service and from both of T C Harrison's dealerships for £1 per ticket or £5 per book. Other prizes on offer include holidays and electrical equipment. The Open Day is free to enter and starts at 10 am.
