Cannock-based public relations and advertising agency Ward Lovett has appointed Andy Rea to its expanding team. And one of his first tasks was to join the firm’s rock band, which is preparing to perform a live gig later this year.

Staffordshire ad agency Ward Lovett used their website launch as an occasion
to treat clients and friends to a night at the dogs recently. The event, held
at Hall Green Stadium, which is operated by GRA, one of the agencies clients
was attended by an extremely sociable mix of clients, staff and media friends.

The New Year has begun well for ad agency consultant Kim Cooper who has
just successfully completed a Media Skills Qualification with the Newspaper
Society. As well as the qualification, she also received the extra accolade
of ‘Outstanding all round performance’ for her course which

The first annual Cannock Conker Contest has ended in a draw – companies
from around the area gathered outside the offices of ad agency Ward Lovett
at Kingswood Lakeside to battle it out for the £20 prize money. Playing
to traditional rules, more than a dozen competitors took part.

18/08/06
Ward Lovett are celebrating an interesting new account win with a night at the
dogs. The Birmingham based full service ad and PR agency have just won a half-million
pound plus account, featuring a TV campaign that will promote greyhound racing
for BGRB, the British Greyhound Racing Board who represent 31 independent tracks
right across the UK. A night at the dogs is attracting an increasingly young
and vibrant crowd who are enjoying the dogs as a destination and a night out.
The campaign also involves a unique online presence and response handling system
to distribute offers specific to each track location.

Agency wins Newspaper Challenge - 25/07/06
Ward Lovett, the Birmingham based ad and PR agency has won their heat of the
Birmingham Mail 5-a-side challenge with a team described as ‘old stalwarts’ by
the organisers, a label hotly refuted by ex-Wolves play-maker, now advertising
director Nick Lovett; “This summer, we’ve done more watching than
playing, but we accepted the challenge of putting a team forward for a beach
football tournament and did rather well, which gave us the inspiration to play
a bit more. With a combination of staff and clients, we had quite a formidable
team – both in looks and performance. It may have been a while since we
were in our footballing hey day I’d prefer to think of us as experienced
rather than stalwarts.

Fever Hits Birmingham Beach - 13/06/06
Advertising and PR agency teams from across the midlands took part in a beach
football tournament at the Fan Park in Birmingham, hosted by BRMB recently. Teams
from two Ward Lovett companies took part, with players made up from the agencies,
client companies and special guests. The Ward Lovett team were helped out by
players from Intersport, Easy Fit Roofs and Conservatories and TC Harrison, the
Derbyshire Ford Dealer. They made it through to the final, only losing to McCann
Erickson 1-0 after a valiant battle on a surface that everyone found challenging
and tiring.
