Fans and a Motorhome Set to Become World Cup TV Stars - 06/06/06
On the same day that the England team arrives in Germany, football fan Mark Perry
and his travelling companions have set off on their own World Cup trip, and it’s
a trip with a difference; they aren’t going to any of the matches, they
will be following the action around the dozen or so venues, where they’ll
be joining fans from many other nations who are travelling to Germany, to experience
the excitement and atmosphere. They have already lined up a penalty shoot out
competition against German fans and will be getting together to swap local beers
and food as well as watching the opening match between Germany and Costa Rica.
Mark said “We’re looking forward to sharing the World Cup experience
with fans from other countries and proving that the English are a nation of football
fans, not hooligans.”
