Civic Mayor, Councillor Ros Jones attended the official opening this week (Tuesday) of the new Doncaster branch office of Claimar Care following the company’s contract win with Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council.
Claimar Care opened the new branch in Nelson Street to facilitate the contract awarded by Doncaster MBC to deliver 1600 hours of domiciliary care in the town. Before snipping the ribbon Councillor Ros Jones who was elected Civic Mayor this year said she was “delighted to be invited to attend the opening” and offered her admiration to the carers that “perform such a vital role in the community.”
Nationally, Claimar Care employs over 3500 care and support workers to assist people who wish to live independently in their own homes. The new contract has created more than 80 new jobs for the area and with an ongoing recruitment programme the company invites anyone considering a career in care to contact them at the Nelson Street office. Claimar’s Regional Operations Director, Linzi Sharman Smith commented: “We were honoured to welcome the mayor and her consort. She has a great empathy with the work we do and we very much look forward to strengthening our links in Doncaster by providing care and support services that deliver positive outcomes to the people that use them.”
