Dunlop and Aston Martin aim for Le Mans gloryDunlop supported team, JMW Motorsport will be competing with the Aston Martin Vantage GT2 in the 2010 Le Mans Series and Le Mans 24 Hour, having become Aston Martin Racing's official global GT2 Development Partner.
JMW and Dunlop will work closely with Aston Martin Racing on a three year programme to help develop the Vantage GT2 which will be unveiled on the Dunlop stand at the Autosport Show today.

Dunlop Drives Young Guns A brand new motor racing championship has been announced for young drivers eager to progress their racing careers. ‘Dunlop Autosport Young Guns’ is supported by the Birmingham based motorsport tyre manufacturer Dunlop and uses single-seater JKS F75 cars, which have a striking visual resemblance to F1. Drivers aged 16-19 now have a helpful extra rung in the ladder to success, which could take them on to the pinnacle of motorsport in the tyre tracks of champions such as Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton.

DUNLOP KICKS OFF A NEW DECADE OF MOTORSPORT Dunlop Tyres have confirmed a mouth-watering selection of racing machinery for their enlarged stand at the entrance to Autosport International next week. The display showcases the top cars and championships expected to make an impact in the new motorsport decade.
The Birmingham tyre manufacturer will be unveiling their new Le Mans Endurance Championship challenger. The new Aston Martin Vantage GT2 car will be unveiled under the iconic Dunlop bridge at the NEC on 14th January.

Popbang painting for Dunlop at racing car show Automotive artist Ian Cook will feature alongside some of Britain's most successful racing cars on the Dunlop stand at Autosport International in January. Ian paints striking, large format pictures of racing cars using tyres and remote controlled toys to move around the paint. His work featured in the Top Gear Art Gallery in a recent BBC programme (20th December).

Warrington winner in motorsport’s ‘X Factor’A racing driver from Warrington who was a past winner of motorsport’s version of ‘X Factor’ has won his first major championship, the Dunlop Sport Maxx Cup.
Simon Shaw was celebrating on Sunday after the outcome of the championship ran to the last lap of the last race of the season.

Win for Dunlop Race Academy RyanA 25 year old electrical wholesaler from Kings Lynn, Ryan Bensley has won this year’s Dunlop Race Academy.
The Dunlop Race Academy encourages talented young drivers with instruction from racing experts and offers them their first drives in a national championship. Ryan was awarded his ‘guest drive’ in the final round of the Dunlop Sport Maxx Cup at Snetterton race circuit in Norfolk, where he drove in all three races. Snetterton is Ryan’s home track and he won two of his three races.

Dunlop Race Academy’s trio of weekend winsIt was a trio of fast finishes for Dunlop Race Academy drivers in the last race of the Dunlop Sport Maxx Cup at Snetterton race track in Norfolk on Sunday. The Dunlop Race Academy focussed this year on drivers who were already in competition, offering three of them a drive in a national competition, the Dunlop Sport Maxx Cup. The drivers were identified by a ‘talent team’ from Dunlop and media partners Motorsport News throughout the first half of the season.

Reading teen is top on track16 year old Patrick Fletcher from Reading has had a winning weekend, driving the Dunlop Race Academy Clio to victory in one race of the Dunlop Sport Maxx Cup.
The Dunlop Race Academy encourages talented young drivers with instruction from racing experts and offers them their first drives in a national championship. Patrick was awarded his ‘guest drive’ in the final round of the Dunlop Sport Maxx Cup at Snetterton race circuit in Norfolk, where he drove in all three races. Macclesfield machinery dealer becomes high performance tyre testerA Macclesfield man has been enlisted by Dunlop as one of its performance tyre testers. 56 year old driving enthusiast Richard Campey is a machinery dealer and was selected by Dunlop experts to test tyres on his own car because of his enthusiasm for driving and motorsport. RIchard first encountered Dunlop as the company recruited members of the public to tyre test during the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the summer.

Passionate Performance Drivers Sought for Test Performance car drivers are being sought by Dunlop to take part in a national tyre test to discover what difference the choice of tyre makes to their car. The company will provide tyres and tuition from a top Hi-Q British Touring Car Championship driver to transform the driving experience of 6 drivers from across the UK. The test, which will run throughout the summer will be launched at the Goodwood Festival of Speed where drivers will be able to put themselves forward to take part.
