Birmingham Games out of the traps at Charity launch at Hall Green StadiumSporting Birmingham fundraisers have gone to the dogs – to launch a year long charity initiative to raise money for local sick children. The Birmingham Games 2010 celebrated its official launch at Hall Green Greyhound Stadium on Friday February 5 when organisers raised more than £2,000 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Change for Penny A career change is turning out to be more glamorous than she’d imagined for Penny Evans from Warwick, who has abandoned estate agency services in favour of marketing at Hall Green Stadium. One of Penny’s first tasks as marketing administrator is to promote Hall Green’s ‘Ascot Ladies Day’, when the focus at the stadium will turn from greyhound racing to horse racing and where the punters will probably have more of an eye to fashion than form.
